Has anybody here seen this edit? I just got it the other day, haven't watched it yet, but it looks great. It combines both AVP and AVP-R in to one movie that runs about 2hr 36min.
The teen drama from the original is cut and the original scores from the old movies has been added. I've just skimmed through it so far and it looks great!

* removing over exposition
* removing repetition
* removing misplaced humor
* removing all teenagers as much as possible
* injecting better pace by reordering and trimming scenes
* adding more plot using footage from Outbreak
* scoring a FEW dead sections with music to add atmosphere and tie into franchise

Okay, I finally watched it and I must say this is a BIG IMPROVEMENT to the AVP movies! I was amazed at how professional this movie was edited. All the new scenes fitted perfectly in, the cut scenes made the pacing so much better, the unneeded humor that was cut out made the movie so much more serious and it was great that the teen drama was cut. I only have 2 complaints and that is that there was a scene towards the end where the audio was out of sync and also that the helicopter crash was taken out at the end, so instead of seeing our survivors get disarmed by the military, we see the helicopter escaping and everything exploding in the background and then from there it goes straight to the colonel delivering the Predator weapon to Ms. Yutani. Other then that, this fan edit did justice to the Alien and Predator franchise. There is one more thing though, I think that they should've cut this in to 2 movies like it's suppose to be instead of gluing both of them together, but either way it doesn't really matter, cuz u can pause it if u want after the first half and take a break. Anyway my opinion is that this movie is great and that every AVP fan NEEDS TO WATCH THIS FAN EDIT!
