As you can tell, AvP Spectrum has been updated with LOADS of new content and unique features to the homepage! You will notice right away that our forum-news integration has been removed and we are now using a more detailed, search-engine-friendly blogging system for posting our news. There are some very cool new featyres to spectrum that many will be pleased to note:
- - Guests may now post comments! (member integration is not yet functional so if you post comments as a member, it will still read you as a guest.)
- - Guests may now access the gallery! Memberships are only required for personal albums and commenting/rating images.
- - News Icons now add some spice to the news and help categorize news better, visually.
- - Aliens Universe block! This block will promote fan content and important releases in the ALien and Predator franchises, such as games and fan films!
- - Latest Articles – shrunk. The latest articles block has been shrunk to 2 recent articles and are now posted beside the new Upcoming Title Block.
- - Spectrum Exclusives Block! This will promote sections of the website that are unique to AvP Spectrum. Such as our famous Alien & Predator Biographies section!
- - A new Subscriber feature has been enabled for members. You can purchase an $8.00 subscription for 1 year which will grant you access to a variety of new features!
- - A second subscriber option has been set in place and is called our “Premium Subscriber” option. This option is flexible in pay, so YOU choose howmuch and how often you would like to pay. This options packs even more features plus a secret feature to be revealed upon subscribing.
- - A secret forum, where users can preview upcoming features and advancements to the site, aswell as have early access to prozes and giveaways. (This is only accessable if you are a subscriber)
- - Advertising. You can now contact AvP Spectrum and purchase ad space on our gallery, forum and main site.
- - Latest Gallery additions is simply our earlier “Latest Media” block, but now spans the width of the news column and displays more thumbnails which link to full size images in our gallery.
- - Staff now have access to personalized “@avpspectrum.com” e-mail accounts, as do subscribers.
- - You can now contact us at 3 different main e-mail locations, see them on our new Contact Us page!
Many new features have not been listed. See if you can find them all! But an important note to staff, especially those who post news, you should check in the Staff Forum for updates on how to post news now. It’s alot different than what we were doing before.
